On April 23, CANVAS, an innovation space brand of Mayland Group signed a strategic contract with Zhongke Industrial Fostering (Guangzhou) Investment Co., Ltd., a market-oriented technology service platform of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Mayland Building of Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town, and unveiled the co-built “Zhongke - CANVAS Technology Innovation Center”.

Under the witness of leading experts, Mr. Gordon Liu, and Mr. Wang Yifan, General Manager of Zhongke Industrial Fostering (Guangzhou) Investment Co., Ltd., signed a strategic contract on behalf of the two companies, unveiled the opening ceremony and accepted media interviews.



At the meeting, Mr. Gordon Liu said that as a socially responsible company, Mayland Group will actively respond to national policies, upgrade its innovation space brand CANVAS and develop the Zhongke - CANVAS Technology Innovation Center with Zhongke Industrial Fostering (Guangzhou) Investment Co., Ltd., so as to better integrate the technological advantages of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the industrial advantages of Mayland Group, creating a high-quality “soft environment” for the whole society to carry out technological innovation. The Group will continue to deepen the integration of industry, university and research through “linkage innovation” among chains of innovation, industry and capital, and promote the formation of a closed loop of core businesses such as industrial fund, science & technology incubation and industrial big data service, so as to provide full-life cycle services for technology innovation enterprises and establish a sound service ecosystem of technological innovation.



According to Mr. Wang Yifan, Zhongke - CANVAS Technology Innovation Center is the first new market-oriented technology innovation service institution co-built by Zhongke Industrial Fostering and private enterprises in Guangzhou, and will serve as a “bridgehead” in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the transformation of science & technology projects and technological innovation of the CAS. In the future, it is mainly engaged in intellectual property rights operation, technology integration innovation, high-tech enterprise incubation, equity investment and park operation. Relying on the great technological resources of the CAS, Zhongke - CANVAS Technology Innovation Center aims to build an excellent ecosystem serving technology innovation through organic integration and make contributions to the technological innovation and industrial development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He also revealed that Zhongke Industrial Fostering will set up a special fund to provide investment and financing services for technology companies.

As a market-oriented technology service platform of the CAS, it is the first time for Zhongke Industrial Fostering to work with a private enterprise to co-create such a technology innovation service platform. Mr. Wang Yifan pointed out that it was a beneficial mechanism innovation, to explore and form the market-oriented mechanism and mode of the technology innovation service platform, drive the technological innovation to be oriented by industrial demand, thus better integrating the transformation of scientific & technological achievements of the CAS with the market.
